Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to stroke and neurosurgery patients, making a real difference in their recovery
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence and precision
• Manage IV starts, central lines, and peripheral care to ensure patient safety
• Collaborate with rapid response teams during critical moments
• Float to MS/Tele areas as needed, showcasing your versatility
• Support epilepsy monitoring and special neuro procedures with trained expertise

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina
• BCLS required, NIHSS required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience including 1 year direct Med Surg
• At least 2 successful travel contracts - no first-timers please
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• IV therapy and phlebotomy proficiency
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Neuro care for CVA, seizures, intracranial bleeds, and traumatic brain injuries
• Blood product administration and central line management
• Cardiac drip management without titration
• Familiarity with Pyxis, Epic charting, and SBAR communication
