Registered Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse - Per Diem
Location: Scarborough, Maine
Start Date: 08-02-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Varied shifts; example shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (12.5 hours with 30-minute meal break)
Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care with compassion and professionalism
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and condition changes
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes
- Educate patients and families on healthcare plans and wellness
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Qualifications
- Current RN or LPN license in the state of Maine
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN for RN, diploma or associate for LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in patient assessment and clinical judgment
- Knowledge of medication administration and safety protocols
- Excellent documentation and EHR skills
- Team collaboration and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered care and dignity
