Registered Nurse

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem Nights, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM NOC (as-needed schedule)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients during night shifts
Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
Document patient care accurately and communicate handoffs to day teams
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection control, and safety standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania required
Current BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
Comfortable working overnight hours and managing acuity independently
Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Previous acute care or med-surg experience preferred

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and clinical decision-making during overnight hours
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Electronic health record documentation proficiency
Basic life support and emergency response skills
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
Team collaboration and clear handoff communication
