Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient preparation and instrument setup
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area throughout the day
• Take and develop dental impressions and digital scans as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Manage appointment scheduling and ensure smooth patient flow
• Handle orthodontic records and update patient charts accurately

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification or equivalent experience
• Current dental assisting license for Maryland
• Proficiency with Denticon or similar dental software
• Strong communication skills and a friendly bedside manner
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and appliances
• Skill in taking intraoral photographs and radiographs
• Understanding of infection control protocols
• Basic computer literacy for charting and scheduling
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
