Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient preparation and instrument setup
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans in the dental software
• Ensure infection control standards are met for every procedure
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Manage inventory of orthodontic supplies and equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; dental assisting program preferred
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Orthodontic Assistant certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in an orthodontic or general dental office
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly bedside manner

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with orthodontic instruments and appliances
• Proficiency in dental software and electronic health records
• Understanding of infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
