Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and hygiene
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area
• Document patient records accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Assistant certification or license in Maryland
• Experience in orthodontic assisting preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiology safety and techniques
• Infection control protocols
• Orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Computer proficiency for record keeping
