Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during patient exams and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take dental X-rays and impressions as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Support a warm, efficient, and welcoming clinic environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification/license in Maryland
• Orthodontic experience preferred but not required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental software and charting
• Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Compassionate and patient-focused mindset
