Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions per OT plan of care to help patients regain independence.
• Document patient progress accurately and timely to support quality care.
• Assist with patient and family education, empowering them with knowledge.
• Communicate patient status to supervising OT for coordinated care.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state COTA license (or ability to obtain).
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

• Occupational therapy interventions and patient assessment.
• Documentation and electronic health record proficiency.
• Infection control and compliance protocols.
• Team collaboration and interdisciplinary communication.
