Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to med/surg patients including acute care surgery and trauma cases
• Manage tracheostomies, chest tubes, and post-op recovery with precision and empathy
• Monitor cardiac rhythms on MS/Tele and respond swiftly to rapid response needs
• Administer IV therapies, blood products, and medications while prioritizing patient safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide top-notch care in a Level II Trauma Center
• Float between units to make a broader impact on patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license with at least 1 year of med/surg experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting proficiency (hardstop requirement)
• Comfortable with 1:5 patient ratios and weekend shifts

Education

• RN degree from an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in bariatric surgery, ortho trauma, total joint replacements, and pre/post neurosurgery
• Skilled in tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and wound care including Wound Vac
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, PICC lines, and blood product administration
• Familiar with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and post-op surgical drains
