Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess patient condition through thorough clinical interviews and data collection
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with patient needs
• Provide individual and group therapy according to Mental Health Unit standards
• Coordinate care with PCPs, outpatient providers, and other services to ensure continuity
• Participate in multidisciplinary team treatment planning to match care to identified needs
• Manage case documentation, ensuring accurate, timely records of interventions and responses
• Identify insurance needs and obtain prior authorizations or referrals when required
• Support supervision of students and interns, promoting professional development and adherence to documentation standards

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Psychology, Human Services, or related field (required); Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience in the Human Services field
• AHA BLS required (must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already current)
• Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with a wide range of patients and caregivers
• Strong organizational skills for documentation, care coordination, and case management
• Ability to perform the physical and mental demands of the position

Education

• BA or BS in Psychology, Human Services or related field (required)
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and treatment planning expertise
• Experience providing individual and group therapy
• Case management and care coordination across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Proficient documentation practices and adherence to policies/procedures
• Familiarity with insurance authorization and referral processes
• Effective multidisciplinary communication and team-based care
• Patient education and discharge planning skills
• Supervisory experience with students or interns (preferred)
