Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
• Administer medications and immunizations following established protocols
• Complete Prime Basic Pharmacology, Core Competencies, Skills Checklist and Specialty exams as required
• Perform patient screenings, take vital signs, and document health histories
• Maintain accurate immunization and health records (COVID-19, MMR, Influenza, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, TB)
• Adhere to infection control practices, fit testing, and PPE requirements
• Collaborate with clinicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain compliance with license, certification, and workplace health requirements

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Willingness to complete Prime competency exams and skills checklists
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings per checklist (COVID-19, MMR, Influenza, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, TB testing or chest x-ray)
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen and background checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent
• Active California LVN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic pharmacology knowledge
• Immunization protocols and proper documentation practices
• Patient assessment, vital signs, and basic clinical procedures
• Familiarity with infection control, fit testing, and PPE use
• Comfortable with electronic health record charting
• Effective communication and patient education skills
