Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, neat, and sanitary patient rooms, clinic areas, and common spaces according to established procedures
• Perform timely cleaning of assigned areas to support a safe healing environment
• Handle linen duties, including stocking clean linen and removing soiled items
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and use approved cleaning solutions safely
• Follow infection control procedures, standard precautions, and isolation protocols
• Report supply needs and assist with inventory control to ensure continuous service
• Collaborate with clinical teams to prioritize cleaning in patient-centered ways
• Demonstrate attention to detail to uphold the hospital's standards of cleanliness

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Basic housekeeping and sanitation skills with attention to detail
• Previous hospital or industrial cleaning and linen experience preferred
• Experience using cleaning equipment and solutions is a plus
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
• Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, push/pull mops and brooms, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work weekends and holiday rotations

Education

• High school diploma or GED

• Sanitation best practices and infection control awareness
• Linen handling and inventory maintenance
