EEG Technologist
Location: Mattoon, Illinois

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 40 Hour Guarantee
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist Neuro Techs with NCVs and clinical department duties
- Perform high-quality EEGs while preparing patients and equipment to lab standards
- Produce accurate EEG reports highlighting key clinical observations
- Explain procedures clearly to patients and families for a smooth experience
- Maintain pristine equipment and eliminate artifacts for reliable results
- Respond swiftly to patient needs and ensure infection control protocols
Qualifications
- 2+ years of EEG and/or EMG experience
- EMG/Neuro experience
- Active ABRET Certification
- Active American Heart Association BLS
- Skills Checklist current to 1 year for EEG or EMG
- 2 Supervisory References with employment dates
- Permanent address outside 50-mile radius (no local candidates)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong neurology and electroencephalography knowledge
- EEG and EMG proficiency
- Patient history taking and emergency response
- Artifact recognition and activation procedures like hyperventilation
- Medication effects on EEGs
- Equipment maintenance and adjustments
