Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide gentle, compassionate dental hygiene care to pediatric patients
• Perform dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealant applications
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Educate young patients and their families on proper oral hygiene habits
• Assist the dentist during procedures in a busy pediatric office
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure infection control standards
• Create a positive, comfortable experience for children at every visit

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Dental Hygienist license required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a friendly chairside manner
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Understanding of pediatric dental care and behavior management
• Proficiency with dental software and recordkeeping
• Attention to infection control and sterilization protocols
• Team player with a patient-first approach
