Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area between patients
• Take and develop dental radiographs following safety protocols
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record
• Provide patients with post‑procedure instructions and answer basic oral health questions
• Manage inventory of supplies and ensure proper sterilization of equipment

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred or equivalent dental assisting training
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 1 year experience in a dental office setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly bedside manner
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
