Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and materials

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Assistant certification or license (as required by Maryland state regulations)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with dental software and digital X-ray systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Proficiency in dental charting and record keeping
• Skills in infection control and sterilization techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively with dentists and hygienists
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity
