Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision
- Operate CT equipment, prepare and administer contrast media
- Perform Intravenous contrast injections, operate X-ray equipment
- Prepare patient's room, equipment, supplies, and medications
- Assume responsibility for designated areas as assigned
Qualifications
- Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT)
- Approved CPR certification
- ARRT and Fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire
- One year experience in CT, two years experience in diagnostic x-ray
- Current Radiographic contrast media and venapuncture certification
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of human structure and function, cross-sectional anatomy
- Patient care, positioning, and principles of radiographic exposure
- Quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, radiobiology
- Specialized techniques as required for a radiologic and CT technologist
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
