Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate communication needs of children birth to 5 to create targeted plans
• Design and deliver engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each child
• Develop and maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress notes for IEPs and records
• Provide consultative support to classroom staff and caregivers to carry therapy into the day
• Manage caseload and scheduling while covering the Ashland/Medford area as needed
• Advocate for early intervention strategies that help children reach developmental milestones

Qualifications

• Active OR Speech-Language Pathologist license required
• Experience or comfort working with pediatric population, birth-to-5 preferred
• School-based therapy experience is a strong plus
• Availability Monday through Friday and ability to cover Ashland/Medford area
• Comfort working a school-year schedule and adapting to school calendars/closures
• Professional communication skills for family- and team-centered care

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (typical requirement for SLP roles)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of early childhood speech, language, and feeding development
• Familiarity with school-based processes and documentation (IEPs, progress reporting)
• Strong assessment and intervention planning skills for young children
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and allied professionals
• Good caseload organization, time management, and documentation practices
• Comfort delivering care in classroom and early intervention settings
