Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using a variety of therapeutic procedures and modalities to restore strength, mobility, coordination, and body alignment.
- Implement assistive devices and teach patients safe use to improve independence and function.
- Deliver range of motion exercises, mobility training, and pain management interventions under PT supervision.
- Document patient status and progress clearly and accurately in the medical record.
- Follow the supervising Physical Therapist's plan of care and operate within the California State Practice Act.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and communicate changes in patient condition promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license (LPTA) required.
- Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Able to perform therapeutic procedures, modalities, assistive device training, and pain management techniques.
- Works under PT supervision and practices in accordance with the State Practice Act.

- Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program

- Physical therapy principles and patient care best practices
- Therapeutic modalities and therapeutic procedures
- Assistive device selection and training
- Range of motion and mobility training techniques
- Pain management strategies
