Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and record QC testing on designated equipment to ensure accurate results
• Schedule nurse visits for phlebotomy, testing, or other outpatient procedures
• Administer immunizations, IM/SQ injections, and oral medications safely and confidently
• Draw and prepare lab specimens for pick up, maintaining proper labeling and chain of custody
• Handle clinic telephone triage and coordinate with providers to support patient care
• Cover medical assistant duties as needed for absences, keeping clinic flow steady
• Monitor and document vital signs and patient status using Epic/charting tools

Qualifications

• Current CA LVN license (required)
• BLS from AHA or ARC (required)
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions or declinations accepted)
• Phlebotomy and IV certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an outpatient medical setting
• Preferred: 3+ years in a pulmonology setting and experience with CS-Link/Epic
• Pending licenses are not accepted; must be fully licensed to start

Education

• Completion of an accredited LVN/Vocational Nursing program (or equivalent) and CA LVN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in phlebotomy and IV therapy — starting and maintaining IVs
• Immunization and vaccine administration, including flu clinics
• Medication administration IM & SQ with accurate documentation
• Specimen collection and preparation for lab pick-up
• Telephone triage and patient scheduling skills
• Epic (preferred) and familiarity with CS-Link charting systems
• Basic cardiac monitoring and ability to obtain 12‑lead EKGs
• Spirometry, wound care, and blood glucose monitoring experience
