Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality resident care
- Provide direct patient care for long-term care residents, including assessments and interventions
- Lead quality assurance efforts and help maintain regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members and communicate effectively with families
- Oversee medication administration, documentation, and care planning
- Mentor and coach staff to promote best practices and professional growth
- Respond to clinical emergencies and ensure appropriate escalation when needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or eligibility for Colorado licensure
- Experience in long-term care settings and prior supervisory responsibility preferred
- Comfortable and experienced working 12-hour night shifts
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; facility may require additional certifications
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

- Clinical nursing skills specific to long-term care and chronic condition management
- Quality assurance and regulatory compliance knowledge
- Leadership and staff supervision
- Medication administration and safe documentation practices
- Strong interpersonal skills for resident- and family-centered care
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced night-shift environment
