Surgical Tech
Location: Redding, California
Start Date: 06-29-2026
End Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with options for 10-hour and 12-hour shifts; mids start at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is ready for each procedure
- Assist surgeons during a wide range of cases including CVOR, total joints, general, vascular, and spine surgeries
- Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team throughout every case
- Collaborate with the OR team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Respond to on-call needs with flexibility and professionalism
Qualifications
- Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
- Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
- Comfortable working with Cerner Surginet EMR system
- Ability to take 1-2 weeknight calls per week and approximately one weekend call per month
- Reliable, adaptable, and ready to jump into a busy OR environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner Surginet documentation
- Skilled in CVOR procedures including CABG, valve, pacers, and lung cases
- Experienced in ortho, general, vascular, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma cases
- Strong sterile technique and OR workflow knowledge
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
