Surgical Scrub Tech - Traveler

Location: Chicago, IL

Start Date: 02-23-2026

End Date: 05-24-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, including weekends and holidays, with on-call requirement (one night every 2 weeks, one weekend every 6 weeks)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert surgical scrub support in a busy OR department
Assist in open heart surgeries, orthopedic procedures, and various surgical cases
Maintain sterile field and ensure all instruments are ready
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure smooth operations
Take on-call duties as needed to support patient care
Utilize EPIC system for documentation and scheduling

Qualifications

2+ years of OR experience required
BLS certification required
DCI/BVP certification required
Must pass background checks and health screenings
Willingness to take call and work flexible hours

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in surgical scrubbing techniques
Experience with EPIC EMR system
Knowledge of sterile procedures and infection control
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to handle high-stress situations
