Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy to patients
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as prescribed
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
• Ensure a clean, sterile, and safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact state reciprocity)
• CPR/BLS certification from an accredited organization
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred, but new grads encouraged to apply
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in dental hygiene procedures including scaling, root planing, and sealants
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding dental practice
• Experience with dental practice management software
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
