Location: Bay City, Michigan
Start Date: 07-27-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required
Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor patients using advanced telemetry equipment and track vital signs to ensure early detection of changes
- Perform thorough assessments and implement life-saving interventions when needed
- Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered
- Care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, or those with complex conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to create effective care plans
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and patient responses
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required
- Experience with telemetry monitoring is a must
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR required
- Active Michigan RN license (or compact license if eligible)
- Ability to work every other weekend
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in patient monitoring and assessment
- Strong medication management and IV therapy skills
- Skilled in specialized care for cardiac and post-surgical patients
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
- Patient education and documentation proficiency
