Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to trauma, ortho, and surgical patients on a busy 30-bed unit
• Monitor telemetry and manage patients on BiPAP/CPAP as needed
• Perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with sterile technique
• Collaborate with a supportive team including charge nurse, nursing aides, SWAT RN, RT, and pharmacy
• Float to MS/Tele or other campuses when needed to share your expertise
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and pass competency exams on day one

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience in an acute care setting
• At least 1 year of Level 1 Trauma Center experience is required
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (must obtain AZ license if not compact)
• Willing to complete a pass/fail SIMs lab on day 1 for Foley and central line skills
• Comfortable with floating to other units and campuses as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry monitoring
• Skilled in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes maintaining sterile field
• Knowledgeable in trauma, ortho, and surgical patient populations
• Able to manage vents, BiPAP, and CPAP effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
