Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and efficient workflow
• Prepare patients for treatment by reviewing medical history and explaining procedures
• Take and develop dental X-rays and impressions with precision
• Sterilize and prepare instruments and equipment for each patient
• Educate patients on post-care instructions and oral hygiene practices

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• At least 1 year of experience in orthodontic assisting
• X-ray certification and familiarity with digital radiography
• A passion for patient care and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with dental software and EHR systems
