Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Variable 4-hour shifts (days and exact start/end times vary), RT. Orientation required; multiple 4-hour slots available (3 slots)

Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor respiratory status, intervening promptly to improve patient outcomes
Deliver therapeutic respiratory treatments and airway management with skill and compassion
Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory equipment safely and efficiently
Collaborate with the care team to develop and adjust individualized respiratory plans
Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and equipment data in the chart
Support patient and family education so they feel confident managing respiratory needs

Qualifications

Current Respiratory Therapist credentials (state licensure in Missouri required)
National credential (CRT or RRT) preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications encouraged
Clinical experience in respiratory care or a related acute care setting preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative team

Education

Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent clinical training
Completion of an accredited respiratory care program

Knowledge & Skills

Ventilator management and non-invasive ventilation experience
Airway management and oxygen therapy expertise
Familiarity with arterial blood gas interpretation
Comfortable using electronic medical records for documentation
Ability to prioritize and respond effectively in fast-paced clinical situations
