Respiratory Therapist
Location: Bismarck, ND
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating shifts: 0600-1830 and 1800-0630, every third weekend, every third holiday
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to a diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics
- Manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen devices across ICU, NICU, and medical-surgical units
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and adjust treatment plans
- Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results
- Respond to emergency codes and rapid response situations
- Educate patients and families on respiratory equipment and home care
Qualifications
- Must hold active RRT or CRT credential and ND state license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU experience is mandatory
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments
- Comfortable with Level II trauma and critical care settings
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Airvo, PB 840, PB 980, Hamilton C1, MR1, and V-60 Respironics
- Strong understanding of neonatal, pediatric, and adult respiratory physiology
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment
