Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 12-07-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and trauma PCU patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Titrate drips such as heparin and cardizem as ordered
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Document accurately using EPIC electronic medical records

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Driver's license required at submittal for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in chemotherapy administration and handling
Proficiency in EPIC EMR
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for PCU patients
Ability to manage common drips and hemodynamic monitoring
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Cultural competence and respect for diverse patient populations
