Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population in our PCU, Oncology, and MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Manage common drips such as heparin, cardizem, and protonix
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety
Float to MedSurg and PCU units as needed, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience in PCU, Oncology, or MedSurg nursing
Current BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications (Chemo cert required)
First-time travelers welcome to apply
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
No artificial nails in patient care areas
Valid driver's license to confirm radius eligibility

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Experience with Alaris IV pumps and hemodynamic monitoring
Comfortable with ventilator management and basic drips
Strong clinical assessment and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, mixed-acuity unit
