Location: Carmichael, California

Start Date: 06-23-2026

End Date: 09-22-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, up to every other weekend, rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop patient daily lists and review charts
Assess patient needs and discuss goals of care
Educate patients on disease process and advance directives
Hold family meetings and provide end-of-life support
Attend daily rounds with the healthcare team

Qualifications

2-5 years of recent experience in palliative and/or hospice setting
BLS certification required, ELNEC preferred
Strong acute care, clinical thinking, and communication skills
Experience in ICU and/or oncology a plus

Education

RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

Palliative care experience
Cerner EMR
BLS and ELNEC certifications
Strong organizational and communication skills
