Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate professional nursing care to oncology patients following established standards and practices
Administer chemotherapy and medications while demonstrating competence in making professional judgments
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and coordinate care with the healthcare team
Assist providers in patient care and actively engage patients, families, and caregivers in treatment coordination
Utilize various types of equipment for examination and treatment procedures while ensuring patient safety

Qualifications

Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
At least one year of oncology nursing experience
ONS bio/chemo or fundamentals course completion or ability to complete within two weeks of hire

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of practical nursing principles and patient care techniques
Understanding of common safety hazards and medical terminology
Ability to communicate clearly and follow written and verbal instructions
Skill in administering medications and utilizing examination equipment
Capability to react calmly and effectively during emergency situations
