Location: Omaha, NE

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, various start times (7a-7p, 7a-3p, etc.), every other weekend, self-scheduling

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a 28-bed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects
Manage titratable drips such as insulin and cardizem
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to support the team
Perform hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent RN experience in oncology and PCU
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
EPIC experience preferred (not a deal breaker)
Valid driver's license for mileage verification

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and patient education
Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000), can train
Experience with Alaris IV pumps and EPIC EMR
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to titrate common drips (heparin, cardizem, protonix)
Comfortable with ventilator management and other critical care skills
