Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), includes weekends and holidays per rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to neuro telemetry patients on a fast-paced, high-acuity unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, titrate IV medications including Heparin, Amio, and Cardizem
Perform detailed neurological assessments and manage patients with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and brain tumors
Maintain sterile field during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure positive patient outcomes
Float to MS/Tele floors as needed, ensuring continuity of care across units

Qualifications

2 years of recent Neuro Telemetry or similar acute care experience required
Level 1 Trauma experience is a must
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance
Comfortable with sterile technique and performing skills like Foley insertion and central line dressing changes
Must have reliable transportation and natural hair color (no facial piercings for men)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of neuro telemetry and EKG interpretation
Proficiency in Cerner EMR
Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills
Ability to titrate drips (Amio, Cardizem, Insulin)
Team player with effective communication
Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with high turnover
