Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple units, including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Float within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) to facilities like Penrose Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center, adapting to diverse patient needs
• Titrate heparin drips and monitor telemetry for early detection of changes
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC, and uphold the highest standards of safety and compassion

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA preferred)
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius and to multiple sister facilities
• Strong critical thinking, flexibility, and a team-player attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Ability to manage cardiac, neuro, oncology, and post-surgical patients
• Competence in heparin drip titration
• Excellent communication and adaptability in fast-paced environments
