Location: Bismarck, North Dakota

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry/cardiac unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret strips for patients with conditions like cardiac caths, EP studies, and pacemakers
Titrate common drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, and Lasix
Collaborate with charge nurse and care team to manage patient loads of 1:4-5 (days) or 1:5-6 (nights)
Float to PCU or MS units as needed for full patient assignments
Assist with Bipap, trachs, and Airvo as part of respiratory support

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
BLS and ACLS certifications required
EPIC experience preferred but not required
First-time travelers welcome!

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac care
Strong drip titration skills for cardiac medications
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable with floating to different units as a helping hand
Adaptable to fast-paced, high-acuity patient environments
