Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a medical-surgical unit
Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and transitions
Monitor patient progress, recognize changes in condition, and escalate appropriately
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold regulatory and facility standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required prior to start)
Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
Ability to handle a fast-paced unit and prioritize patient needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
Medication administration and IV therapy skills
Patient assessment and critical thinking in acute care settings
Effective interpersonal skills for collaboration with patients, families, and the care team
