Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency nursing care for diverse acute presentations
• Perform rapid patient assessment and triage to prioritize care in a busy ED environment
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions accurately and safely
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams
• Document clearly and timely in the electronic health record to ensure continuity of care
• Support patient and family education with empathy and clear communication
• Act swiftly in emergencies, using critical thinking to stabilize patients and guide next steps
• Participate in unit initiatives to improve patient outcomes and enhance team workflows

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or eligibility for state licensure
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Emergency nursing experience or strong acute care background preferred
• Comfort with fast-paced environments and strong prioritization skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively on interdisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and triage skills for emergency presentations
• Knowledge of ED procedures, medications, and common emergency interventions
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to perform under pressure with rapid decision-making and situational awareness
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient/family-centered care approach
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
