Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage and titrate critical intravenous drips including amiodarone, nitro, nicardipine, epinephrine, and other medications for blood pressure management
Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond to cardiac events
Provide intermediate care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, atrial fibrillation, post-cath lab, and post-cardiac surgery
Administer BiPAP/CPAP and monitor respiratory status
Collaborate with intensivists, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care
Float to same-level and lower-level acuity units as needed

Qualifications

Current and valid RN license in Nebraska
Minimum 1 year of experience with CVU, intermediate care, or similar patient population
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Proven ability to titrate cardiac drips and interpret telemetry
Driver's license required for submittal and radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac drip titration and medication management
Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
BiPAP/CPAP equipment and troubleshooting
Patient assessment and critical thinking in intermediate care
Effective communication and teamwork
Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
