Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (days) and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (nights), every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate care for cardiac and vascular patients, including post-surgical monitoring
Titrate and manage intravenous drips such as amiodarone, nitroglycerin, nicardipine, and epinephrine
Interpret telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
Educate patients and families on cardiac health and recovery plans

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiovascular or intermediate care patient population
Willingness to float to units of same or lower acuity as needed
Valid driver's license required at submittal for distance determination

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in titration of cardiac drips and blood pressure management
Skilled in telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Knowledge of BiPAP, CPAP, and nasal cannula equipment
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
