Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 07-06-2026
End Date: 10-05-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Rotating shifts, every other weekend, 1 major and 1 minor holiday required, call/standby with 30-minute response time
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI and X-ray imaging of brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities
- Operate GE and Toshiba scanners with precision and care
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and lead technologists to optimize imaging
- Float to Mercy Southwest location as needed (approx. 6.5 miles away)
Qualifications
- Active ARRT certification required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- At least 2 years of experience as a Rad Tech
- Proficiency in Radnet and Merge Unity systems
- Ability to start IVs? Not required for this role
- Teal scrubs are the dress code; scrubs not provided
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in GE and Toshiba imaging equipment
- Experienced with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS/EMR
- Knowledge of brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremity imaging protocols
