Location: Kearney, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend, minimum 2 holidays per contract

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to adult patients on a 40-bed PCU unit
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients with drips like Heparin, Nitro, and Amiodarone
Manage high-flow oxygen therapy and arterial lines with confidence
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Titrate drips and respond to changes in patient status proactively

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of PCU or med-surg/telemetry experience preferred
Competency in arterial line management and drip titration
Willingness to float to MedSurg or ICU for PCU-level patients

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
Proficient in managing titratable drips (Heparin, Cardizem, etc.)
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
Cultural sensitivity when caring for diverse patient populations
