Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer radioactive medications to patients safely and in accordance with protocols
• Operate and maintain nuclear imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Track and document radiation within the patient and maintain accurate radiation records
• Prepare and verify patient profiles, imaging orders, and procedural documentation
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and facility submission requirements
• Communicate results and observations clearly with clinical teams to support patient care
• Participate in quality assurance, safety checks, and appropriate infection control practices
• Support scheduling and on-time submission of required compliance documents prior to start

Qualifications

• CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) — required at time of submission
• Minimum of 6 months of Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) experience — required
• Active professional license (as applicable) active at time of submission
• Ability to provide required profile items (work history, permanent address) at submission
• Willingness to complete and submit all compliance items one week prior to start
• Open to facility-specific policies such as orientation day requirements and call procedures
• NIHSS certification recommended (facility provides link), good to have but facility will review candidates without it

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceutical handling, and radiation safety
• Proficiency operating nuclear imaging systems and following manufacturer protocols
• Skilled in patient positioning, patient care, and communicating procedures to patients
• Accurate recordkeeping and regulatory compliance awareness
• Teamwork and collaboration with multi-disciplinary clinical teams
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality assurance processes
• Comfortable with facility-specific scheduling and submission workflows
