Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (Day Shift), every other weekend on-call
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality, compassionate care to critically ill neonates in a Level III NICU
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status using Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, RTs, and techs to develop care plans
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform neonatal resuscitation (NRP) as needed
- Educate families on newborn care and support them through the NICU experience
- Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies
Qualifications
- Current RN license in North Carolina
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification – required
- NICU experience preferred – Level III or higher, 2+ years
- Strong critical‑care skills and ability to work in fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge & Skills
- Level III NICU patient care
- Critical care assessment and interventions
- Cerner electronic medical record system
- Neonatal resuscitation and emergency procedures
- Patient‑to‑nurse ratios management (1:1 to 1:4)
- Effective documentation and interdisciplinary communication
