Roles & Responsibilities

Supports and communicates laboratory initiatives and philosophies
Collects, processes, and receives specimens for analysis
Evaluates and solves problems related to specimen collection and processing
Participates in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures
Performs complex laboratory procedures and analyzes results

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a related field
CLS or MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent
2 years of experience in a laboratory setting
New MT graduates must pass certification exam within 6 months of employment

Education

Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a related field

Knowledge & Skills

Phlebotomy and laboratory analysis
Specimen collection and processing
Quality control and problem-solving
Scientific principles and laboratory procedures
Experience with laboratory analyzers such as Abbott Alinity, ACL Tops 350, and Gene Expert
