• Position-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:
• · Responsible for the daily operation of the women’s health section of radiology.
• · Responsible for suggesting changes in procedures, policies, and quality improvement, as well as coordinating training and development in breast imaging specialties.
• · Adheres to all FDA guidelines for the mammography section.
• · Maintains appropriate records for all accreditation processes and inspections.
• · Maintains the structured reporting system to ensure accurate audit reporting, statistical tracking, and resolution of workflow issues.
• · Ensures completion of daily QA and preventative maintenance scheduling.
• · Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Mammography imaging procedures
• · Performs all exams based on Imaging Department Protocols or protocols the exam with the Radiologist.
• · Practices radiation safety, adhering to ALARA standards.
• · Ability to operate equipment consistent with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
• · Troubleshoots equipment problems and independently calls a service engineer if the malfunction needs outside maintenance.
• · Verifies exam orders, identifies the patient through two means of identification, and provides exam education.
• · Reviews and documents the patient’s medical history, obtains required informed consent, and ensures all necessary paperwork and prior studies are complete and available before submitting procedures for Radiologist interpretation.
• · Maintains accurate patient records in EHR, including charging for procedures and supplies.
• · May be required to perform other functions within the clinic. Any additional training required will be provided.
• · Demonstrates flexibility by assisting in other modalities, adjusting schedules, and taking call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed.
• · Obtains additional training or certification as required.
• · Assists with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when required.
• · Assists, trains, or cross-trains imaging staff members as directed.
• · Must be self-motivated, use independent judgment, and be able to work with minimum supervision.
• · Responsible for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supply inventory.

• QUALIFICATIONS
• · Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver’s license).
• · Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• · Must successfully pass a background check.
• · Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
• · Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.
• EDUCATION, LICENSURE(S), AND CERTIFICATION(S)
• Required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire or transfer)
• EXPERIENCE
• Preferred
• Two (2) years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist, CT, and MRI technologist.
• Cross-trained into other modalities, including, but not limited to: CT, MRI, and DEXA.
• Experience with electronic records, including PACS and RIS/HIS.
