Education

• it is very difficult for us to do block scheduling. We do try to make it work if we can but I cannot guarantee it.
• Trauma Level? STEMI Receiving? Stroke Center?: Certified stoke center
• # of Beds/Trauma Bays: 18
• Ratios: 1:4-5 based on acuity
• Common diagnoses/Types of patients: All age groups, Chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health, sepsis, and stroke. Treat a lot of high acuity patients here
• Common drips: Antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, vaccines, emergency medications
• EMR System: EPIC
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 7a-7p,11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a / Leadership will make schedule based on needs
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Floating Requirements: No
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue
• How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 shifts
