Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with ADLs and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Support the nursing team with timely documentation and communication
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
• Assist with feeding, bathing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Build rapport and engage residents in daily activities to promote wellbeing

Qualifications

• Valid Connecticut Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Current basic nursing assistant skills with a caring, patient-first attitude
• Comfortable working in long-term care/skilled nursing settings
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and procedures
• Preferred: prior experience in a similar setting (per diem experience welcome)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and infection control
• Comfortable taking vital signs and documenting observations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with clinical staff
• Ability to prioritize resident safety and provide compassionate care
• Basic mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
