Location: Waimea, Hawaii

Start Date: 06-01-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Full time, any shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Direct meaningful activity programs that meet patients' social, recreational, physical, educational, and spiritual needs
Assess and develop comprehensive activity programs to enhance patient well-being and dignity
Enable patients to maintain their fullest mental and physical capacity through engaging activities
Foster feelings of usefulness, self-confidence, and empowerment in every patient
Lead performance improvement initiatives and manage program budgets
Supervise and train staff while building a collaborative, supportive team environment

Qualifications

3 years of experience as an Activities Coordinator planning and coordinating comprehensive activity programs
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Valid driver's license required
Strong communication skills in English with the ability to supervise and train others

Education

Relevant experience and training in activity program coordination

Knowledge & Skills

Activity program planning and patient assessment
Human anatomy and treatment procedures in medical settings
Budget development and personnel management
Performance improvement and training program development
Supervision and leadership in healthcare environments
